Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents Support Group

The Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents Support Group offers a space for individuals to explore the psychological impact of growing up with emotionally immature parents. This impact can include low self-esteem, trust issues, difficulty with intimacy, perfectionism, struggles with self-care, a tendency to take on caretaking roles, difficulty with conflict resolution, and more. This group will provide a safe environment for sharing experiences, discussing the effects of this upbringing on current life, receiving peer support, and fostering personal growth.

What to Expect

Participants will use group dynamics to:

  • Explore the overall impact of emotionally immature parenting on their life and relationships.

  • Discuss current emotional challenges stemming from their upbringing.

  • Explore ways to foster emotional resilience and healthier relationships.

  • Gain insights through peer feedback, open discussion, and shared experiences that can help reduce feelings of isolation and confusion in a nonjudgmental space.
