Queer Men’s Processing Group

Queer men have a unique social experience at the intersection of man-ness, queer men’s culture, social activism, alternative relationship styles, (often) heteronormative families of origin, and workplaces, among many other facets of life. This group for queer men will convene a space for participants to process their inner experiences, conflicts, challenges, and joys in a nonjudgmental environment.

 

What to Expect

 

 Participants will leverage the power of group dynamics to support personal growth, self-understanding, and management of mental health challenges with topics such as:

 
  • Lower Self Esteem

    Internalized Homophobia

    Anxiety

    Depression

  • Shame

    Isolation

    Body Dysmorphia

    Attachment Styles

  • Intimate Partner Relationships

    Sexuality

    Alternative Relationship Styles

Group Length: 8 Weeks

Group Size: Group will run with at least 7 participants and cap at 9

Group Location: This group will meet virtually

When: Spring 2022, exact dates to be announced!

Group Time Commitment: This group will take place on Tuesdays from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm

Group Cost: The fee for each session is $65 full fee, $55 for current G&STC clients, $45 sliding scale. Healthfirst insurance accepted.

We ask that folks only sign up if they can commit to attending at least 7 sessions, which provides for 1 cancellation should needs arise. however, no one will be removed from the group if further unexpected cancellations are needed.
