Molly Doherty, LMSW

Therapist

Pronouns: she/her/hers

You deserve a therapist who hears you. We all need support, acceptance, and empathy, no matter who we are or where we are in our own journey. Together, we will work to overcome shame, stigma, and other barriers holding you back from your goals.

About Molly

As a queer transgender woman, I work to create a supportive space for my clients to explore and process their unique experiences, identities, and feelings without judgment or stigma. My own lived experience as a trans woman informs my work as a therapist, and I'm passionate about creating safe, affirming spaces in individual, relationship, and group therapy. I am committed to an intersectional, trauma-informed approach to therapy that acknowledges the lived experiences of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodiverse clients.

Working with Molly

My clinical approach is rooted in self-determination and anti-oppressive practice. I view therapy as a collaborative, client-centered process, and I hope to build a therapeutic relationship where you feel supported and heard. Each client is unique, so I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Together, we can explore your goals and tailor our work in therapy toward your needs and your priorities. I utilize an eclectic set of therapy modalities depending on each client's needs, including elements of CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic theory.
