Miles Alves Willis, MHC-LP

Therapist

Pronouns: he/him/his

We all face unique challenges and journeys in life, and it's important to have a safe space where you can explore and heal. I see therapy as an opportunity to create a compassionate and empowering environment where you can feel seen, heard, and supported in your growth.

About Miles

I am queer, Brazilian-American, white-passing, and a trans man. My identity and experiences shape my approach to therapy, as I am deeply aware of the complex interplay of systems of power and privilege that impact our lives. I am committed to recognizing and addressing these dynamics in our work together to co-create a space where all aspects of your identity are respected and understood.

Working with Miles

My work is rooted in collaboration and empowerment. Guided by empathy and curiosity, I believe each individual approach should be unique to you. I incorporate different therapy styles such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps with challenging negative thoughts and behaviors, Narrative Therapy, which focuses on re-authoring stories you tell about your life, as well as Psychodynamic approaches, which look at how past experiences might affect you in the present. Together, we can find what works best for you, helping you grow and explore in a way that feels right for you.
