This is a mental disorder wherein a person suffers from persistent preoccupation with their imagined physical flaws. Those flaws are often exaggerated or not based in reality, according to Jesse Kahn, LCSW-R, CST, sex therapist and director at the Gender & Sexuality Therapy Center in New York City.
