Trans Femme Support Group

This support group is an inviting, safe, confidential space for folks who identify as trans femme to connect with others who share this identity and are going through similar experiences. This group will be rooted in feminist psychotherapy. Feminist theory focuses on how the environment and broader cultural and sociopolitical dynamics may impact views and experiences around gender as well as mental health and well being.

What to Expect

Participants will use group dynamics to:

  • receive interpersonal support and feedback on specific issues around gender

  • identify their internalized messages of oppression and explore more self-enhancing beliefs

  • explore the impact of oppressive societal beliefs and practices

  • develop a sense of personal and social power

  • explore the power of relationships and connectedness
