Queer Depression & Anxiety Support Group

Feelings of isolation are prevalent among queer folks, particularly those who struggle with depression or anxiety. With the added stress of the ongoing COVID pandemic, those feelings of loneliness, depression, isolation and anxiety can become even more intense. This group will offer a safe space to process those emotions, and help reduce feelings of isolation. The Queer Depression & Anxiety Support Group will allow individuals to explore their experience with depression/anxiety as well as past and current triggers. This group will include peer support, feedback, and open discussion.

What to Expect

Participants will:

  • discuss current/past situations that are triggering symptoms and their recent experience with depression/anxiety

  • use group dynamics to receive interpersonal support, feedback on specific issues, and strategies that have helped others manage depressive/anxious symptoms
